About Us

The DON ZIERDT Agency (DZA) has been in business since 1995. Through the years we have established many close relationships with our clients, whether they be advertising agencies placing ads on their client’s behalf, national companies looking to recruit college students, college admission offices looking for students to attend summer session classes or local companies seeking part-time help. Through our personalized service, we have been able to provide them with a cost-efficient and timely means of reaching the college market.

Don Zierdt founded the company because he saw a need for businesses to reach college students at a reasonable price through the most visible medium available- the campus newspaper.

Don was a college newspaper advertising manager with three years experience prior to graduating with a Marketing Degree from Trenton State College in New Jersey. He has worked for an advertising agency, a city newspaper classified department and even a newspaper printing press. Through his knowledge of the newspaper and advertising businesses (especially the college market), he was determined to create an agency geared specifically to this market which would allow potential clients the ability to place ads.

Don loves golf, softball, gardening and is an avid double-couponer (He wrote a column in his college newspaper called The Grocery Man).

Nancy Zierdt, also a graduate of Trenton State College with a degree in Communications, is a full partner. She is the real reason DZA is on the map. Her exceptional interpersonal skills have helped give our clients a sense of confidence that we really care and are looking to maximize the use of budgeted dollars.

Her interests include reading, volunteering for school activities and shopping (the last one added by Don).
